Job summary

Fairmont Skilled Nursing & Therapy is seeking a dedicated Laundry Aide to provide clean linens and clothing to residents. This role works with the Environmental Services department and carries full responsibility for laundry duties, including handling, washing, drying, and returning items to residents.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of principles used in washing linens and clothing.
• Knowledge of how to handle contaminated linen and clothing.
• Knowledge of how and what to use to disinfect.

Responsibilities

• Full responsibility of laundry service.
• Keep equipment and laundry area clean.
• Take wash water temperature and record it on daily basis.
• Clean linen dried, folded and stored in linen closets in designated areas.
• Return all cleaned personal clothing items back to the proper resident’s clothing closet or dresser.
