Job summary

Southern Air, an Employee-Owned company, is hiring a Commercial HVAC Service Technician in Richmond, VA. You will service and maintain commercial and industrial HVAC systems, diagnose issues, and deliver top-notch customer service on every job.

The role requires 1–5 years of HVAC experience, EPA/CFC certification, and a valid driver’s license. A comprehensive benefits package and company-provided vehicle are included.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of HVAC service or installation experience or equivalent training
• Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and repair skills
• Experience installing and servicing HVAC systems and related equipment
• EPA or CFC Certification required
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass pre-employment screening

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service HVAC systems including hydronic, steam, forced hot air, and heat pumps
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues accurately and efficiently
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams
• Perform preventive maintenance to extend equipment life and performance
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety, and professionalism
• Deliver excellent customer service on every job
