Weekes Forest Products/WS Building Materials is an employee-owned company in Illinois hiring a Warehouse & Yard Crewmember. The role involves processing and preparing orders for distribution of engineered wood components and building materials.

Emphasis on accuracy, safety, and teamwork in both inside and outside environments. The ideal candidate will handle loading/unloading, operate forklifts and related tools, follow daily schedules, and contribute to organized warehouse and yard spaces.

Qualifications

• Patient work style with repetitive tasks
• Follow safety expectations per company policies
• Able to lift 20–60 pounds throughout the day
• Work independently while supporting team efforts
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Experience operating material handling equipment like a forklift
• Ability to solve problems under heavy workload and changing conditions

Responsibilities

• Efficiently and accurately organize building materials using various equipment
• Read paperwork, work orders, and yard pick tickets for orders
• Calculate units of measure (board feet, linear feet, square feet, etc.) for shipping
• Load and unload trains carrying materials
• Move and organize product by department using material handling equipment
