Job summary

Rise Family in Sierra Vista, AZ is seeking a part-time caregiver to support people with disabilities in home and community settings. The role involves daily living assistance, hygiene, mobility, meal prep, and transportation support.

You will work under program guidelines, complete CPR/First Aid training, pass background checks, and meet state requirements. A reliable vehicle and good communication skills are important. Flexible schedule and on-site training are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience or education in the field of developmental disabilities or a related field is preferred.
• Desire and interest in working with people with disabilities or special needs.
• Must possess verbal and written communication skills adequate to the specific job.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be over 21 years if required to drive a RISE vehicle and meet other requirements specified by the RISE Insurance Agency.
• Must obtain a satisfactory background check and Level One Fingerprint Card clearance.
• Specific language abilities (other than English) may be required to meet the needs of people/families receiving support.
• Must have reliable transportation to the work site and access to a telephone.
• Must complete training courses in CPR, First Aid, and Article 9.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to people receiving support through the implementation of the RISE mission, vision, and values.
• Demonstrate respect and promote choice.
• Promote the rights of people receiving support and contribute to an environment that is free of abuse, neglect and exploitation.
• Assist people with daily living, hygiene, mobility, meal planning/preparation/cleanup, and transportation.
• Follow RISE policies and procedures and maintain required records and documentation.
