Job summary

GetixHealth in Denison, TX is seeking a Healthcare Customer Service Representative to handle high-volume calls related to billing, claims, and coverage. This onsite role emphasizes empathy, accuracy, and adherence to HIPAA in a fast-paced patient-focused environment.

The candidate should have 1–2 years of customer service, basic medical terminology knowledge, and strong communication skills; bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of customer service experience.
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
• Healthcare, insurance, or medical collections experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Medicaid/Medicare and healthcare revenue cycle helpful.

Responsibilities

• Handle 60+ inbound and outbound calls daily about billing, payments, claims and coverage.
• Respond to inquiries using standard procedures and scripts.
• Gather information, research details, and resolve concerns accurately and promptly.
• Explain billing information and insurance benefits clearly to patients.
• Assess patient needs and provide appropriate solutions or escalation.
• Schedule work to maintain daily productivity and coverage.
• Collaborate with leadership and peers to support problem‑solving.
• Support department initiatives and continuous improvement.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.
• Assist with goals and suggest efficiency improvements.
• Perform other duties to support the team.
