Job summary

Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) seeks an Emissions and OBD Engine Calibration Quality Manager to lead a team of 4–8 engineers focused on identifying, investigating, and resolving engine calibration issues in customer vehicles, plants, and in-use programs.

The role requires strong powertrain controls, emissions knowledge, and a passion for data-driven engineering. You will drive rapid root-cause analysis, develop preventive actions, and report to the Senior Manager of ePTV.

Qualifications

• 10+ years automotive engineering experience.
• Strong leadership experience managing engineering teams.
• Experience with emissions, OBD, aftertreatment development, calibration, or durability.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 4–8 engineers for field quality investigations and regulated emissions/OBD issue resolution.
• Drive rapid investigation and closure of engine calibration, emissions, OBD, drivability, catalyst performance issues.
• Establish and maintain a closed-loop issue management process to minimize recurring quality issues.
• Develop quantitative performance metrics to monitor vehicle quality and calibration robustness.

Education

B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related engineering discipline
