Job summary

Nossaman LLP is seeking an experienced Litigation Case Manager to support the Eminent Domain and Inverse Condemnation Group in our Orange County or Los Angeles offices. This role acts as the operational hub, maintaining matter visibility and ensuring timely deliverables across complex cases.

The ideal candidate will manage multiple jurisdictions, coordinate with attorneys and staff, and drive efficient case workflows while upholding strict confidentiality and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
• 8+ years of relevant law firm experience in litigation case management or related roles.
• Experience coordinating large volumes of active litigation across multiple attorneys and departments.
• Strong understanding of court rules, calendaring, and litigation workflows.
• Experience tracking deadlines across multiple courts and jurisdictions (CA preferred).
• Experience supporting eminent domain, inverse condemnation, real estate litigation, public agency, infrastructure, land use, or valuation matters preferred.
• Exceptional organizational and project management skills with reliability.
• Ability to lead through influence and coordinate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain visibility across active eminent domain and related litigation matters from opening to trial and post-judgment activity.
• Conduct regular matter reviews with attorneys and case teams to confirm status and milestones.
• Prepare matter action plans, status reports, and litigation trackers for current matters.
• Anticipate upcoming needs and communicate timing for hearings, deadlines, and deposits.
• Identify scheduling conflicts or missed deadlines before they affect a matter.
• Coordinate with Docketing to track deadlines, hearing dates, discovery deadlines, and trial dates.
• Oversee delegation of assignments among attorneys and paralegals to ensure timely completion.
• Monitor operations during staffing transitions and suggest process improvements.
• Prepare litigation status reports and matter dashboards for leadership.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of sensitive information.
