Johnson & Johnson is offering a Co-Op in Innovative Medicine’s Emerging Technologies within biopharmaceutical manufacturing at Spring House, PA. You will contribute to new manufacturing methods, PAT sensors, and modeling to support next-generation biopharmaceuticals.

The intern will perform lab experiments, set up bioreactors, run offline assays, and analyze spectral data to optimize processes, while collaborating with cross-functional teams on project milestones.

Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/innovative-medicine The Co-Op student will have a unique opportunity to contribute to Emerging Technologies initiatives in biopharmaceutical manufacturing. They will be involved in the implementation of innovative solutions, including new manufacturing methods in upstream and downstream processing, as well as process analytical technology (PAT) sensors and modeling to support next-generation manufacturing of biopharmaceuticals.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of lab experiments to support biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes, including cell culture, downstream processing, and formulation of drug substance.
• Set up and operate small-scale bioreactors, perform offline assays, and analyze spectral data to ensure flawless execution of experiments.
• Conduct comparative experiments using PAT and other process outputs while contributing to the modeling of the biochemical data for analysis and optimization.

Experience and Skills

• Candidate must have the ability to work individually as well as on a team
• Candidate needs to be proficient with: Microsoft Office, Word, Excel is required Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future.
