Job summary

Burson, part of WPP, seeks a driven early‑career communications professional in New York. You’ll shape Burson’s external voice, develop content, and support branding initiatives at major industry events.

You’ll work closely with senior leaders, manage multiple workstreams, and help drive messaging across markets using AI‑assisted tools. This role is hybrid with a NYC‑office requirement.

Qualifications

• At least six months of experience in PR, including internships. Agency experience is a plus.
• Based in New York and able to work in Burson’s hybrid in-office model with three days per week in the NYC office at 3WTC.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, plus strong organization and time‑management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort with AI tools and learning as tools evolve.

Responsibilities

• Develop external communications, draft content, and tailor messaging for diverse audiences across markets.
• Track trends, review materials, and ensure brand voice aligns with Burson guidelines.
• Design and manage media outreach, pitches, and coverage follow-up with real-time data.
• Support events and cross‑functional campaigns from conception to execution.
• Collaborate with senior leaders and cross‑functional teams to deliver integrated programs.
