Riverside Research seeks a junior research scientist to support R&D in secure and resilient systems for DoD partners. You will work with MBSE artifacts, develop open architecture tooling, and contribute to technical publications while interfacing with government labs and teams across Riverside locations.

You should have hands-on experience in C/C++ and Python, knowledge of unsafe coding pitfalls, and be able to communicate reasoning clearly. Eligibility for a TS clearance is required to advance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Cybersecurity with 0–2 years of relevant experience.
• Eligibility to obtain a Top Secret Security Clearance.
• Proficiency in C/C++, Python; experience with Git.
• Ability to interpret and understand requirements documentation.
• Self-driven with strong analytic, inferencing, and creative problem-solving skills.

Responsabilités

• Help design and ideate open architecture capabilities.
• Build/modify tools in C/C++, Python, etc.
• Contribute to open architecture standards development.
• Prototype solutions using SBCs and microcontrollers.
• Contribute to whitepapers, proposals, or publications.
