Job summary

L&G Asset Management in the United States seeks an Associate Portfolio Manager for Emerging Markets to support portfolio construction, monitoring, and reporting under senior portfolio managers.

The role requires 5+ years buyside experience, a degree in Finance/Economics or quantitative field, and strong fixed income knowledge with Bloomberg and Excel skills. LatAm credit exposure is a plus; CFA or Master’s preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or quantitative field.
• 5+ years buyside experience in investment management or on a trading desk.
• Knowledge of fixed income concepts including duration and yield curve positioning.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and communication abilities.
• LatAm corporate credit space is preferred; AI/tech skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support portfolio construction and implementation across EM mandates.
• Monitor exposures, weights, duration, and risk metrics relative to benchmarks.
• Construct and submit trade orders under PM direction.
• Monitor holdings and trades for compliance with guidelines.
• Manage cash balances, contributions, withdrawals, and corporate actions.
• Analyze positioning and performance to aid decision-making.
• Support portfolio reporting, attribution, and client materials.
• Collaborate with PMs, Research, Trading, Compliance, and Ops.
• Ensure records and controls are completed accurately and timely.
• Adhere to regulatory, risk, and ESG requirements.
