Job summary

Nampa School District #131 is seeking an Assistant Coach at Skyview High School. The person will motivate athletes, develop skills, and model good character while leading practice and game preparation.

Responsibilities include supervising events, organizing rosters, and ensuring safety and compliance with district policies. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, and ideally Idaho teaching certification or equivalent, with CPR/first aid certification or willingness to obtain.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Idaho teaching certification or equivalent strongly preferred.
• First aid and CPR certification required or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Attend tryouts, practices, and supervise students at events and field trips.
• Organize practice schedules and game rosters.
• Assist with assigning positions and developing strategies.
• Coach participants in marching band skills and teamwork.
• Track student performance and prepare stat sheets.
• Coordinate with athletics director on transportation and officials.
• Ensure safety and proper use of equipment and adhere to concussion policy.
• Maintain attendance forms, insurance records, and required paperwork.
• Promote the athletic program and engage student participation.
• Represent the school district professionally and comply with district policies.
