Job summary

Chenega MIOS in Vienna, VA seeks a Jr. CI/CD & Platform Automation Engineer (DevOps) to design and implement automated pipelines for Esri deployments in cloud and on-premises.

You will collaborate with software developers and cloud engineers to ensure scalable, secure automation across the stack. Responsibilities include building high-speed CI/CD, Docker orchestration, SBOM and security gatekeeping, and monitoring to prevent regressions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, DevOps, or related field.
• 1+ years of relevant experience in DevOps, CI/CD, or platform automation.
• Hands-on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with YAML-based pipeline configurations and infrastructure definitions.
• Scripting experience in Python and/or JavaScript.
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible, AWS CDK, Terraform.
• Active or Current Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain high-speed CI/CD pipelines for Esri technology in cloud and on-premises.
• Use GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps and Jenkins for workflows and build automation.
• Architect and optimize Docker environments across the development lifecycle.
• Lead the design of next-generation Python package creation and Conda environments.
• Manage distribution of the ArcGIS API and dependencies.
• Build and manage build infrastructure (runners, nodes, registries).
• Automated security gatekeeping, including SBOMs, vulnerability scanning, and license compliance.
• Design and implement monitoring to track build performance and perform load testing.
• Transition legacy workflows to everything-as-code processes.
• Oversee lifecycle of third-party dependencies ensuring secure supply chain.
• Other duties as assigned.
