Job summary

GMO in Boston is seeking a Corporate Credit Analyst to join the Emerging Debt Team. You will analyze corporate credits across a broad EM universe, including government-linked opportunities, and support portfolio managers with rigorous research and modeling.

Key requirements include 3–8 years of relevant experience, strong financial statement analysis, and advanced Excel skills. A degree in finance or economics is required, with CFA designation or progress toward charter preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–8 years of relevant industry experience.
• Strong undergraduate or graduate degree; CFA designation or progress toward charter preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain financial models; knowledge of corporate finance and credit fundamentals.
• Experience with EM, sovereign risk, and capital markets is beneficial.
• Proficiency in Excel; ability to analyze large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Cover 80+ EM countries across IG and HY, with 10+ sectors.
• Produce credit opinions and investment committee presentations.
• Perform rigorous corporate credit analysis and assess sovereign linkages.
• Maintain proprietary financial and credit models.
• Conduct due diligence with company management and analysts.
• Collaborate in a small team and present to internal/external audiences.
