Job summary

ARCO Companies in Tampa, FL is looking for a Project Manager Intern to support our team of experts. You will assist with estimating, scheduling, design meetings, buyout, permitting, shop drawing reviews, billing, and on-site visits under the guidance of a project manager.

Requirements include enrollment in Civil/Mechanical/Architectural or Construction Management, a minimum 3.0 GPA, and prior internship or co-op construction experience preferred. Strong communication and work ethic are essential.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Civil/Mechanical/Architectural or Construction Management Bachelor’s degree program.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0.
• Previous internship or co-op construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Estimating – Describing project proposals and assigning dollar values to the projects.
• Scheduling – Creating a working timeline for subcontractors/trades to complete the project on time.
• Design meetings – Attending design meetings with owner and team to understand design pro structural engineers, architects.
• Buyout – Send bid instructions, schedule, and drawings to subcontractors; receive and evaluate proposals; award subcontracts.
• Permitting – Fill out permit forms and submit with drawings and fees for approval.
• Shop Drawing and Submittal Review – Review shop drawings/submittals and coordinate material orders.
• Billing – Subcontracts, change orders, pay requests, and pay applications.
• Job Site Visits – Visit job site with PM and ensure project runs smoothly.
