Job summary

Dogwood Veterinary Specialty and Emergency is building a new Emergency Services team in Dunwoody, GA. We seek experienced Emergency Veterinary Technicians to provide high-level care from triage through stabilization, treatment, hospitalization, and transfer.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of veterinary hospital experience preferred.
• Experience in Emergency, Critical Care, Specialty Medicine, Surgery, or high-volume General Practice.
• Strong foundation in veterinary nursing, patient monitoring, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, medication administration, anesthesia monitoring, and client communication.

Responsibilities

• Emergency triage and patient assessment.
• Stabilization of critical and emergent patients.
• Venipuncture and IV catheter placement.
• In-house laboratory diagnostics.
• Radiology and diagnostic imaging support.
• Medication administration and fluid therapy.
• Continuous patient monitoring.
• Anesthesia and procedural support.
• Oxygen therapy and emergency interventions.
• Emergency surgery preparation and recovery.
• ICU and hospitalized patient nursing.
• Accurate medical records and treatment documentation.
• Client communication and patient advocacy.
• Clear handoffs between shifts and clinical teams.
