Job summary

Mid-Columbia Pet Emergency Service in Pasco, WA, is seeking an experienced Emergency Veterinary Medical Director to lead our team of emergency clinicians. This permanent, full-time position offers a competitive compensation package and a rotating schedule.

Compensation includes shift pay: $1,400/day (6am–6pm), $1,400 Swing (1pm–1am), and $1,600 Night (6pm–6am), plus a Medical Director stipend of $1,400/month ($16,800/year).

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent with licensure eligibility.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Proven ability to lead emergency veterinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for urgent and emergent patients.
• Provide comprehensive emergency care including receiving new cases, triage, and hospitalization.
• Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill or injured patients.
• Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians and staff to ensure seamless patient care.
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with clients during stressful situations.
