Emergency Veterinary Care Centers (EVCC) in Holland, MI is seeking an Experienced Veterinary Assistant for overnight shifts. You will support veterinary technicians and veterinarians by assisting with patient care, maintaining hospital cleanliness, and ensuring the hospital is stocked and ready for emergencies.
You’ll interact with pets and clients, creating positive experiences even during stressful situations, and help ensure every shift runs smoothly.
Make a Difference When It Matters Most.
At Emergency Veterinary Care Centers (EVCC), we show up for pets and the people who love them on some of their hardest days.
If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy working as part of a team, and want to make a meaningful impact every shift — this could be your place.
EVCC was created by veterinarians, for veterinarians — and for the communities they serve. Founded by 36 local general practice veterinarians (many still actively involved today), we were built to support the veterinary community, not compete with it.
Because let’s face it; while emergency veterinary care is an exciting and fulfilling field, it’s not easy. That’s why we take extra special care of our team members through continuing education opportunities, promotion possibilities, and a supportive work environment you can be proud of.
But what truly defines EVCC isn’t just what we do — it’s how we do it.
We genuinely care about whoever walks through our doors — whether it’s a critical patient, an anxious pet parent, or a teammate who needs support during a tough shift.
Emergency medicine is intense. It’s emotional. It’s unpredictable.
But it’s also deeply meaningful.
You won’t be “just an assistant” here. Your assessment skills, instincts, and voice matter. Our doctors value collaboration. Our leadership team listens. Growth is encouraged, not gatekept.
As a Veterinary Assistant at our Holland location, you’ll be a crucial part of our emergency team. You’ll support veterinary technicians and veterinarians by assisting with patient care, maintaining hospital cleanliness, and ensuring the hospital is stocked and ready for every emergency. This position is designed to improve patient flow by managing stable emergency cases, facilitating discharges, and helping clients receive prompt medical attention.
You’ll interact with pets and clients directly, creating positive experiences even during stressful situations, and help ensure every shift runs smoothly.
This role requires confidence, resilience, and heart.
We believe people do their best work when they feel valued and supported.

We’d love to meet you.
