Job summary

VEG ER for Pets is seeking an energetic Veterinary Nurse to join our emergency team in Overland Park, KS. You’ll deliver high-quality nursing care, triage patients, and support both outpatient and inpatient services in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate patient and client care.
• Perform basic to intermediate nursing tasks, monitor patients, and apply treatments.
• Triage incoming patients using clinical assessment and monitoring.
• Administer subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intravenous medications, noting adverse effects.
• Set up and monitor IV fluids and transfusions.
• Collaborate with the nursing team for both outpatient and inpatient care.
• Participate in rounds to ensure continuity of care.
• Receive RECOVER CPR training as needed.
• Collect samples and perform in-house and point-of-care tests and imaging.
• Assist with anesthesia under LVT or DVM supervision.
• Maintain urinary catheter care and oxygen support techniques.
