Job summary

Pieper Veterinary in Middletown, CT is seeking a Veterinary Assistant for Emergency care on the 1st shift. This full-time role covers four 10-hour days with holiday coverage, joining a VECCS Level 1 certified hospital.

You will provide hands-on support during emergencies, prepare treatment areas, communicate with pet parents, perform basic lab tasks, and work closely with emergency technicians and doctors. Previous veterinary or animal care experience is preferred, alongside strong communication

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a veterinary, animal care, or shelter environment preferred.
• Solid communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of animal handling, restraint, and common veterinary terminology.
