Veterinary Emergency Group in Fort Worth, TX, is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join our ER team. You will provide high-level emergency care for a wide range of patients, including exotics, and lead in diagnostic and surgical procedures.

Qualifications

• Live and breathe emergency medicine including surgery and endoscopy.
• Thrives in a team-oriented hospital environment.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays on rotating basis.

Responsibilities

• Answer medical questions over the phone.
• See patients immediately as part of the VEG Triage approach.
• Gather signalment, presenting complaint, vitals, and exams.
• Conduct exams and diagnostic tests (ultrasounds, X-rays, bloodwork, biopsies).
• Create diagnostic and therapeutic plans and communicate options to clients.
• Prepare estimates and present them to clients.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
• Explain value of tests and treatments to clients.
• Perform emergency surgeries as needed.
• Educate clients on aftercare and prevention.
