Emergency Veterinary Care Centers (EVCC) is hiring an Emergency Veterinarian for our upcoming Kenosha location in Wisconsin. You’ll diagnose and treat a broad range of emergencies, perform surgeries, and collaborate with a skilled team to deliver exceptional patient care.

You’ll lead with compassion, value your voice in a veterinarian-led organization, and help care for pets and their families during critical moments. This role offers growth and strong mentorship within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) program.
• State veterinary license in good standing or eligibility to obtain one.
• Experience in emergency or high-volume veterinary practice preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly on your feet.
• Ability to remain calm, focused, and compassionate in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a compassionate bedside manner.
• Ability to build trust and strong relationships with clients—human and furry.
• A team-first attitude and willingness to collaborate with the people around you.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat a wide range of emergency conditions, including trauma, seizures, respiratory distress, and other urgent conditions.
• Perform emergency surgeries and procedures as needed.
• Develop case-specific treatment plans in collaboration with the veterinary team.
• Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and technology to make informed, timely medical decisions.
• Communicate with compassion and provide clear support and guidance to pet owners.
• Maintain accurate and thorough medical records.
• Stay current on advancements in emergency veterinary medicine.
• Work collaboratively with your veterinary and support teams to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
• Help create a positive, supportive environment for your teammates.
