Job summary

Ethos Veterinary Health's Charleston Veterinary Referral Center is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to deliver high-quality emergency and critical care in a fast-paced setting. The role requires evaluating and treating diverse urgent cases, with a focus on compassionate owner communication and teamwork.

You will work with a dedicated team of specialists and emergency clinicians to provide comprehensive care, including stabilization, procedures, and evidence-based medicine across ICU and ER

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state licensure.
• Completion of a rotating internship strongly preferred; emergency experience at a specialty referral hospital also considered.
• Strong clinical decision making and communication in fast-paced emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for urgent and emergent conditions.
• Provide comprehensive care through receiving new cases, triaging, and managing hospitalized patients.
• Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill or injured patients using evidence-based medicine.
• Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, and staff to ensure seamless patient care.
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful situations.
• Contribute to a positive hospital culture built on collaboration and continuous learning.
