Qualifications

• DVM from an accredited institution.
• Active Washington State veterinary license or eligibility to obtain.
• Emergency medicine experience preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and critical thinking skills in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to remain calm and organized under pressure.
• Commitment to continued education and mentorship.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver immediate and high-quality emergency and critical care to patients with urgent medical needs.
• Perform thorough examinations, diagnostics, and develop effective treatment plans across a wide range of cases.
• Partner with technicians and support staff to ensure efficient, comprehensive patient care.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and aftercare.
• Contribute to team workflow and resource allocation to optimize patient outcomes and efficiency.
• Mentor and support staff development through training and guidance.
• Maintain accurate, compliant medical records and documentation.
• Collaborate with specialists to manage complex cases and provide integrated care.
• Foster a positive, team-focused culture that supports morale and collaboration.
