Job summary

Emergency Veterinary Care Centers (EVCC) is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian at our Holland, MI location to provide high-quality, compassionate emergency care in a fast-paced hospital setting. You will work with a skilled team to diagnose, treat, and manage urgent veterinary cases, leveraging advanced diagnostic tools and procedures to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of AVMA-accredited Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program.
  • State veterinary license in good standing or eligible to obtain one.
  • Experience in an emergency or high-volume veterinary practice.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver emergency and critical care in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of emergency conditions including trauma and respiratory distress.
  • Perform emergency surgeries and procedures as needed.
  • Communicate with compassion and provide support to pet owners.
  • Collaborate with the veterinary team to create case-specific treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and stay current on emergency medicine advancements.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Our Holland location needs skilled, friendly and energetic Emergency Veterinarians to strive for and achieve excellence in emergency veterinary medicine in the area.

As an Emergency Veterinarian at EVCC, you will:

  • Provide quality and compassionate emergency care to a diverse range of patients in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborate with a highly skilled support team to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.
  • Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and technology to make critical decisions with confidence.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Deliver emergency and critical care in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

  • Perform emergency surgeries and procedures as needed.
  • Communicate with the utmost compassion and provide support to pet owners.
  • Collaborate with the veterinary team to create case-specific treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate records and stay current on emergency medicine advancements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Graduate of an AVMA accredited Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) program
  • Possesses state veterinary license in good standing or eligible to obtain one
  • Excellent problem-solving and ability to think “quickly on your feet”
  • Experience in an emergency or high-volume veterinary practice
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and compassionate “bedside” manner, building trust and strong relationships with clients–both human and furry alike
