Mid-Columbia Pet Emergency Service (MCPES) in Pasco, WA, is seeking a Full-Time Emergency Veterinarian to join a high-caliber team. Earn 250k+ annually with shift pay: $1,400/day, $1,400 swing, or $1,600 night, plus a 10-shift month schedule and no mandatory overnight work at this time.

Qualifications

  • DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state licensure.
  • Internship-trained or experienced in emergency medicine preferred.

  • Strong decision-making in fast-paced emergencies required.
  • Excellent communication with pet owners and team, collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care for a diverse caseload of companion animals.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for urgent and emergent conditions.
  • Provide comprehensive emergency care with triage and stabilisation of patients.
  • Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill or injured patients.
  • Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams for seamless care.
  • Communicate clearly and empathetically with owners during stressful situations.
  • Contribute to a positive hospital culture focused on collaboration and learning.

Shift pay plus production offered: $1,400/Day shift (6am-6pm), $1,400/Swing shift (1pm-1am), and $1,600/Night shift (6pm-6am)
Full time opportunity in Pasco, WA
Schedule: Sunday Monday Tuesday swings 1p-1a week "A" and Sunday Monday Swings 1p-1a Week "B". Total of 10 shifts per month!

In your day-to-day, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients presenting with urgent and emergent medical conditions.
  • Provide comprehensive emergency care through a balanced mix of receiving new emergency cases, triaging incoming patients, and managing hospitalized patients throughout their course of treatment.
  • Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill or injured patients using evidence-based medicine.
  • Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to provide seamless, compassionate patient care.
  • Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful and emotional situations.
  • Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning.

What You Bring

  • DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure.
  • Ideal candidates will be internship-trained or experienced in emergency medicine, and those with a strong interest in surgery or ABVP diplomate credentials are especially encouraged to apply.
