Job summary

Ethos Veterinary Health is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian for our Greenville, SC location. This full-time rotating schedule offers a fast-paced, collaborative environment with on-site specialty services and advanced diagnostics.

You will deliver high-quality emergency care, develop treatment plans, and work closely with a team of veterinarians, technicians, and support staff to provide compassionate, decisive care for critical patients.

Qualifications

  • DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with licensure eligibility.
  • Rotating internship or ER experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and client-centered care.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for urgent conditions.
  • Provide comprehensive emergency care with triage and hospitalized patient management.

In your day-to-day, you will:
  • Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients presenting with urgent and emergent medical conditions.
  • Provide comprehensive emergency care through a balanced mix of receiving new emergency cases, triaging incoming patients, and managing hospitalized patients throughout their course of treatment.
  • Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill or injured patients using evidence-based medicine.
  • Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to provide seamless, compassionate patient care.
  • Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful and emotional situations.
  • Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning.
What You Bring
  • DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure.
  • Completion of a rotating internship or experience practicing emergency medicine is preferred (or equivalent clinical experience).
  • Confidence managing emergency cases and making sound clinical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach.
