Job summary

Gulf Coast Veterinary Emergency Hospital in Biloxi, Mississippi is seeking a Swing and Overnight Emergency Veterinarian to join our dedicated team on a part-time or full-time basis.

You will provide high-quality emergency care overnight, collaborate with our multi-doctor team, and advance your skills in emergency medicine in a state-of-the-art facility with in-house diagnostics and a full in-house pharmacy.

Qualifications

• DVM degree from an accredited veterinary school.
• Valid Mississippi veterinary license.
• Emergency/critical care experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency veterinary care to a diverse range of cases.
• Perform diagnostic evaluations, develop treatment plans, and execute surgical interventions as needed.
• Collaborate with a team of veterinarians and support staff to ensure optimal patient care.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with emergency veterinary practices.
