Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Florida is hiring experienced Emergency Veterinary Technicians to support our busy Critical Care department. We offer a $1,500 sign-on bonus and a pay range of $20.00–$40.00 per hour, plus a shift differential of $3.00–$4.50.

Shifts are 3 x 12 hours, 7:00 pm–7:00 am. As an ER tech you will induce, monitor and recover anesthesia, triage emergencies, perform digital radiography, manage vital signs, and mentor teammates.

Qualifications

• Emergency veterinary technician experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced ICU/ER environment.
• Proficiency in anesthesia monitoring and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia for patients.
• Triage emergencies and monitor vitals.
• Perform digital radiography with proper positioning.
• Maintain and interpret vital signs and CPR readiness.
• Phlebotomy and IV catheter placement.
• Place feeding tubes and central lines as needed.
• Mentor and train other staff.
• Provide compassionate client communication.
