Northeast Veterinary Referral Hospital, part of PetVet Care Centers, seeks an Emergency Veterinary Assistant in Plains, Pennsylvania. You will support veterinarians and technicians, care for patients, and assist with daily hospital tasks in a fast-paced, team-driven setting.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this position.
• Ability to work with or around sick animals, potentially hazardous materials, cleaning chemicals, gas anesthetics, zoonotic diseases, and unpleasant odors.
• This is a strenuous job that requires a lot of lifting, cleaning, and constant motion.
• Some tasks involve moderately physically demanding work, usually involving lifting or carrying moderately heavy animals (up to 50 pounds)

Responsabilités

• Provide compassionate care to all patients.
• Greet patients and their owners, weigh patients and record vitals on arrival.
• Assist doctors and technicians with medications and patient restraint.
• Maintain medical records and hospital cleanliness; assist in labs and radiographs.
