Job summary

Austin Veterinary Emergency & Specialty (AVES) is seeking veterinarians passionate about working in emergency medicine for our 6-month training and mentorship program. We are looking for individuals who are team oriented, driven, reflective, and reliable to train with us and transition into an ER position at AVES.

The ER Immerse Training Program offers a competency-based curriculum with simulation and live patient experiences, dedicated mentorship, and weekly live didactic rounds.

Qualifications

• The ER Immerse Program is designed to prepare veterinarians for a career in emergency medicine with a focus on core competencies.
• Includes client and team communication, professional skills, and life/work integration.

Responsibilities

• Rotate with other specialty services during the training program.
• Always work with a dedicated mentor on shifts.
• Competency-based curriculum includes asynchronous learning on Vetbloom and weekly live virtual didactic rounds.
• Live continuing education events led by specialists and experienced emergency doctors.
