Ilderton Auto in High Point, North Carolina seeks an Emergency Lighting Technician to install, wire, and configure emergency equipment on police, K-9, and fleet vehicles. You will install light bars, sirens, consoles, prisoner transport systems, and K-9 cages, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specs, safety standards, and agency requirements.

Candidates should be mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, with experience working on 12-volt electrical systems; ability to read wiring diagrams;

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Mechanical aptitude with hands-on installation experience.
• Basic knowledge of 12-volt electrical systems.
• Ability to safely and effectively operate hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to read and understand technical instructions and wiring diagrams.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Mansioni

• Install emergency lighting systems, including light bars, interior lights, grille lights, and strobes.
• Install sirens, speakers, control heads, radios, and switch panels.
• Upfit police, K-9, and fleet vehicles with equipment such as center consoles, mounting brackets, push bumpers, exterior accessories, prisoner transport partitions, K-9 cages, and ventilation systems.
• Perform 12-volt electrical wiring, routing, terminating, and troubleshooting.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, installation manuals, and work orders.
• Ensure all equipment is securely mounted, properly wired, and fully operational.
• Test completed installations to ensure functionality, safety, and compliance with manufacturer and agency requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Document completed work and report any issues, defects, or concerns.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding project timelines, parts requirements, and technical concerns.
• Follow all company safety policies and industry best practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
