Job summary

Global Public Safety, LLC is seeking experienced Emergency Vehicle Installers for a full-time role at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. The position offers a $30-40/hr pay range, with a $1000 sign-on bonus after 90 days of active employment.

You'll install, test, and upgrade 12-volt emergency equipment, configure new units, and perform wiring work across fleets. Join a mission-driven team committed to safety and quality for first responders.

Qualifications

• Two (2) or more years of emergency vehicle upfitting experience.
• Ability to work safely with tools and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, repair, and remove 12-volt emergency vehicle equipment (light bars, sirens, radios, speakers, antennas, routers, video cameras, laptops, consoles, K-9 cages, etc.).
• Configure brand-new units and upgrade existing fleets.
• Disassemble and reassemble OEM vehicle interior trim and components.
• Plan wiring routes for efficiency and future troubleshooting; perform electrical and physical modifications.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues with advanced automotive equipment.
• Keep workspace and tools safe, clean, and organized.
• Complete required paperwork and documentation accurately and promptly.

Position

Emergency Vehicle Installer (Full Time)

Location: State-of-the‑art manufacturing facility

Schedule: Full-time, with occasional overtime/weekend hours for time-sensitive projects

Pay Rate: $30 - 40/hr depending on experience. Sign-On Bonus: $1000 after completion of 90 days of active employment.

What You'll Do

• Install, test, repair, and remove 12-volt emergency vehicle equipment-light bars, sirens, radios, speakers, antennas, routers, video cameras, laptops, consoles, K-9 cages, and more!
• Work on a vehicles configuring brand-new units, upgrading existing fleets, and servicing prior installations.
• Disassemble and reassemble OEM vehicle interior trim and components.
• Plan wiring routes for efficiency and future troubleshooting, performing all electrical and physical modifications necessary for emergency installations.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues with advanced automotive equipment.
• Keep your workspace-and your tools-safe, clean, and organized.
• Learn cutting-edge techniques and new product technologies from teammates and manufacturers.
• Pitch in with shipping, receiving, inventory, and other essential shop functions as needed.
• Complete required paperwork and documentation accurately and promptly.

What We're Looking For

• Two (2) or more years of emergency vehicle upfitting experience. Experience installing Whelen equipment preferred!
• Skills: Ability to work safely with tools. Strong understanding of auto wiring preferred but not required. Self-motivated and able to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be willing to work on-site at customer location.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Able to follow directions, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in small teams.

Working Conditions

• Work both inside and outside vehicles in a busy shop environment.
• Expect regular lifting of objects up to 50 lbs.
• Occasional local travel for equipment pickups, deliveries, and on-site installations.
