Job summary

Merrimack Health's Emergency Center in Lawrence, MA is seeking an Emergency Trauma Technician to assist in the fast-paced ED under supervision of RNs and physicians.

The ETT will accurately record vital signs, perform EKGs, guide patients on splints, respond to codes, move patients safely, and handle lab specimens as part of a collaborative team. This role emphasizes rapid responsiveness, effective communication with families and staff, and adherence to AHA BLS standards during orientation.

Qualifications

• AHA Basic Life Support certification required or to be completed during orientation.
• Preferred EMT or CNA experience.
• Experience in emergency department settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document vital signs and EKGs.
• Instruct patients on splints and orthopedic equipment.
• Respond to codes, trauma alerts, and transport patients.
• Collect and transport lab specimens and perform ancillary duties in ED.
