Job summary

St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, PA is seeking an Emergency Technician to support the ED team on a part-time/per diem basis. The role provides direct and indirect patient care under RN/LPN direction, maintains supplies, and supports clinical and clerical operations.

Ideal candidates hold a HS diploma, BLS, EMT or MA certification (or are in the final year of nursing school) and have prior EMT-related experience. This position offers flexible shifts and a mission-driven workplace.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• BLS Certification required.
• EMT certification or Medical Assistant certification (or in final year of nursing school).
• Prior Emergency Technician experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct and indirect patient care activities under RN/LPN direction.
• Assist with procedures including specimen collection, ostomy care, glucose monitoring, and application of orthopedic or protective devices
• Obtain and record vital signs, assist with patient hygiene, feeding, and mobility support
• Perform 12-lead EKGs and phlebotomy procedures accurately
• Communicate patient status and concerns to the RN promptly
• Assist with scheduling diagnostic procedures, tests, and consultations
• Participate in trauma calls and collaborate with interdisciplinary team during emergencies
• Performs other duties as assigned
