Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with basic healthcare training.
• Nurse Aide Certification or 1-year ER experience or CMA or nursing program.
• Strong communication, customer service, and organizational abilities.
• Basic life support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Patient care under supervision, performing approved treatments and procedures.
• Assist in admission, transfer, and discharge, and maintain patient safety and comfort.
• Answer calls promptly and help with hygiene and activities of daily living.
• Greet families, orient patients, document vitals and paperwork as needed.
• Secure clothing and valuables per protocol and maintain a clean, safe area.
• Support identification and care of deceased patients and comfort families.
• Maintain inventory, submit requisitions, and verify supplies and linens.
• Keep work area neat, clean, and compliant with sterile techniques where required.

• Expediently answers patient call lights, assists patients with personal hygiene and other activities of daily living (e.g., dressing, ambulation) in a caring and understanding manner, and efficiently maintains an attractive, comfortable, and safe environment for patients with special consideration to room cleanliness, ventilation, lighting, and patient safety.
