Job summary

Legacy Emanuel Medical Center in North Portland seeks an Emergency Services Technician to support the Emergency Department team with direct patient care for newborns to geriatric patients.

You will assist licensed practitioners, RN and unit staff in a fast-paced environment, ensure safety and cleanliness of equipment, and uphold professional standards while delivering compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous patient care experience in an Emergency environment and/or with children strongly preferred
• Basic medical terminology, computer familiarity, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple assignments.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care to newborns, children, adults, and geriatric patients under RN supervision.
• Demonstrates effective and professional communication with patients, visitors, EMS personnel, and hospital staff.
• Maintains cleanliness, maintenance, and safety of unit equipment and supplies.
• Maintains an active, working knowledge of the Credentialing Competencies required for Emergency Services Technicians.
• Consistently demonstrates professionalism in appearance and conduct.
