Job summary

Qualifications

• High School/GED diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One (1) year of pre-hospital experience preferred. Excellent customer service skills required.
• Current California EMT certification. BLS required. Assaultive Behavior Training Certification that meets AB508 and SB1299 required within 30 days of hire/transfer. New hires who have completed Assaultive Behavior training outside of Emanate Health will be required to complete Emanate Health Work Place Violence online awareness module within 30 days of hire/transfer.

Responsibilities

• The EST performs patient care and patient care-related activities under supervision of an RN/LVN/MD.
• Performs other support functions involving equipment, supplies and environmental maintenance.
• Delivers IV solutions or instrument trays containing medications in preparation for procedures.
