Job summary

Munson Healthcare in Charlevoix, MI is seeking an Emergency Room Technician I for a full-time day shift to support the ER team. You will assist registered nurses, provide direct patient care, and help coordinate patient flow within a fast-paced emergency department, ensuring safety and comfort for patients and families.

Maintains professional working relationships with patients, families, nursing staff, physicians, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team. Provides direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, including assisting with comfort measures, recognizing and reporting changes in patient condition, documenting observations accurately, and assisting with procedures. Communicates effectively with patients' families, maintains patient confidentiality, and follows standard precautions and infection control practices. Coordinates patient flow by assisting with admissions, transfers, discharges, and communication with appropriate departments. Performs a variety of clerical and administrative duties, including answering telephones, processing messages, obtaining medical records, filing patient documentation, coordinating room readiness with Environmental Services, maintaining office supplies, communicating with physician offices, responding to patient call systems, and completing other assigned responsibilities in support of efficient unit operations.

What’s Required
