AdventHealth Palm Coast seeks a Patient Care Technician to deliver quality patient care in the telemetry unit. You will support registered nurses, monitor patients, and help with daily activities in a compassionate, respectful environment.
This role requires a high school diploma, basic computer skills, and the ability to read and follow instructions. Telemetry or medical office experience is preferred, with BLS certification encouraged.

Delivers quality patient care, including comfort and hygiene measures, preventative skin care, safety measures, transport, and nutritional and elimination needs.
Reports observed patient changes and needs to the registered nurse accurately and in a timely manner.
Demonstrates effective use of clinical strategies to ensure patient and associate safety.
Communicates concerns regarding hazards or errors related to patients to the healthcare team using appropriate communication techniques.
Documents vital signs, input/output, nutritional intake, personal hygiene, weights, and other patient care performed, and reports findings promptly to the registered nurse.
Monitors and documents patient’s cardiac rhythm, recognizing and notifying the registered nurse immediately when life-threatening arrhythmias occur.
Responds promptly to all monitor alarms according to department/hospital policy and ensures the central monitor is never left unattended.
Maintains patient EKG records in a systematic, organized fashion and files EKG reports onto charts as needed.
Organizes inventory and replacement of telemetry supplies, ensuring inventory is maintained appropriately.
Utilizes computer technology to access and exchange data, maintain non-electronic patient records, and input daily and special charges as requested.
Provides person-centered care with sensitivity and respect.
Assists with safe and appropriate delegated patient care tasks under the direct supervision of a registered nurse.
