Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a registered nurse to join our team in La Grange, IL. You will perform comprehensive assessments, create individualized care plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.

The role includes education, documentation, and discharge planning to support seamless transitions home or to another facility. The ideal candidate holds an Associate's in Nursing ( Bachelor’s preferred) and an active RN license with BLS.

Qualifications

• RN license required
• BLS CPR certification required
• 1+ year acute hospital experience preferred
• Experience in emergency department setting preferred
• Proven ability to educate patients and families

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and develop care plans.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care among physicians, nurses, social workers, and therapists.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed.
• Document care plans, interventions, and outcomes accurately.
• Administer medications and therapies per protocol and safety guidelines.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses and treatment options.
• Supervise nursing staff and support personnel.
• Plan and coordinate discharge to home or another facility.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and unit policies.
