Job summary

AMR in Boynton Beach, FL is hiring a Paramedic (Basic) for a full-time role. Starting hourly rate is $23.07, with DOE considerations.

You will deliver basic and advanced patient care, operate defibrillators, ECG monitors, oxygen and suction, IV fluids, and lead on-scene management as needed. The role requires a State Paramedic License, BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic, a valid State Driver’s License, and the ability to pass a Physical Agility Test.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• State Paramedic License required.
• State Driver’s License required.
• BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic certifications required.
• Driving record must comply with policy.
• Must pass Physical Agility Test.
• Some healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call to determine the best course of action under Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize Paramedic skills on equipment and procedures (defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction, IV fluids) for advanced care.
• Communicate with patients and families to provide information and reassurance.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and manage scene and unit as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow Paramedics.

We’re hiring Paramedics that are passionate about delivering compassionate, high-quality service and basic, as well as advanced, patient care to our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize your Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow Paramedics.

Other Responsibilities:

• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
