University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) in Little Rock, Arkansas, invites board-certified or board-eligible radiologists to join our Academic Emergency Radiology team as full-time on-site faculty. Qualifications

  • MD/DO or equivalent medical degree.
  • ABR-certified or board-eligible in Radiology.
  • Completed ACGME Diagnostic Radiology residency.
  • Eligible for Arkansas medical licensure.
  • Proficiency in emergency imaging including CT/CTA.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret emergency and trauma cross-sectional imaging across a statewide referral network.
  • Interpret radiographs and fluoroscopic examinations.
  • Provide expertise in emergency imaging including CT, CTA, CT Perfusion, and acute neuroimaging.
  • Teach and provide didactic education to Diagnostic Radiology residents.
  • Participate in medical student and resident education.
  • Engage in mentorship and scholarly activities.
  • Contribute to growth of Emergency Radiology services.
  • Participate in departmental and institutional initiatives.

The Emergency Radiology Division within the Department of Radiology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking full-time, on-site faculty to join our dynamic, collegial, and growing academic Emergency Radiology section in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Evening Shift
  • 2:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
  • 7 days on / 7 days off
Overnight Shift
  • 10:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.

Position Overview

We are seeking board-certified or board-eligible radiologists through the American Board of Radiology (ABR) with fellowship training or strong expertise in diagnostic radiology.

The ideal candidate will be service-oriented and collaborative, with a strong commitment to patient-centered care, clinical excellence, education, and continued growth of the Emergency Radiology practice.

Clinical & Academic Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Interpret emergency and trauma cross-sectional imaging across a statewide referral network
  • Interpret radiographs and fluoroscopic examinations
  • Provide expertise in emergency imaging, including CT, CTA, CT Perfusion, and acute neuroimaging
  • Teach and provide didactic education to Diagnostic Radiology residents
  • Participate in medical student and resident education
  • Engage in mentorship and scholarly activities
  • Contribute to the continued growth and development of Emergency Radiology services
  • Participate in departmental and institutional initiatives

  • Hold an M.D., D.O., or equivalent medical degree
