Northwell Health’s Behavioral Health Service Line is recruiting a BE/BC Emergency/CL Psychiatrist for South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore, NY. The role focuses on ED consultations with no inpatient or outpatient duties, Monday–Friday, 9a–5p, with potential teaching opportunities and a new Psychiatry residency starting in 2027.

Compensation starts at $305,000, including one moonlighting shift monthly, plus an annual bonus of up to $15,000; part-time options are available (2–3 days/week).

Qualifications

• Must be BC/BE and licensed in NYS.
• Superior computer and EHR skills.
• Emergency Psychiatry or CL experience preferred.
• Must be able to assess ED and CL patients of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Provide consults to ED and medical floors. No inpatient or outpatient responsibilities
• Schedule: Monday-Friday 9a-5p
• Opportunity to supervise/teach students
• New Psychiatry residency program to commence 2027
• Compensation starts at $305,000 for general psychiatrists, inclusive of 1 moonlighting shift per month.
• Annual performance bonus of up to $15,000
