Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for an Advanced Practice Provider role in the Emergency Department on a PRN basis. Ideal candidates can cover 4–5 shifts per month with variable hours (6am-4pm or 3pm-1am) and should be comfortable seeing about 20 patients per shift.

Responsibilities include ED patient care under supervision, reading radiographs, dispensing medications, and collaborating with the care team.

Qualifications

• 2 years in emergency medicine or urgent care as PA/NP
• Masters or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited PA program with National Board Certification
• Licensed as a Nurse and approved to practice as an NP by Georgia with National Certification

Responsibilities

• Work in a fast-paced ED under supervision of emergency department physicians
• Provide patient care to groups and individuals, including reading radiographs and dispensing medication
• Communicate with patients, families and health care team members
• Use EMR system and maintain documentation and dictation
• Stay updated on patient care diagnosis and treatment techniques

Advanced Practice Provider – Emergency Department PRN - Piedmont Atlanta Hospital

Piedmont is recruiting for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the Piedmont Atlanta Emergency department working on a PRN basis. Ideal candidates will be able to work 4-5 shifts a month working variable shifts 6am-4pm, 3pm-1am with emphasis on weekend availabilityand comfortable seeing an average of 20 patients per shift.

Responsibilities

In this role you will:

• Work in a fast-paced environment under the supervision of emergency department physicians
• Provide patient care as needed to groups and individuals, including reading radiographs and dispensing medication
• Communicate with patient, family and other health care team members.
• Utilize EMR system entering and maintaining appropriate documentation and dictation
• Stay up to date on patient care diagnosis and treatment, current methodologies and techniques of practice.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

2 years working as a PA/NP within emergency medicine or urgent care setting
