Job summary

County of Los Angeles is seeking a Principal Information Systems Analyst for emergency IT initiatives addressing homelessness. You will lead the design and development of highly complex systems, gathering requirements from multiple stakeholders and coordinating with vendors and business units to deliver critical solutions.

The role includes ensuring project alignment with long-range IT plans, supervising technical staff, and shaping contract documents (RFPs, RFQs, SOWs).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or closely related field with four years of progressively responsible IT experience in a centralized IT organization.
• Two years in last three years at the level of Senior Information Systems Analyst.
• Five years of progressively responsible, full-time IT experience in centralized IT organization for complex systems.

Responsibilities

• Leads and may supervise a team of Information Systems Analysts and other technical staff.
• Develops system specifications through requirements gathering and collaboration with business units and vendors.
• Develops and revises long-range IT plans and strategic IT initiatives.
• Manages contract solicitations (RFPs, RFQs, RFIs) and monitors vendor performance.
