Job summary

MUSC Health seeks an Electrician to monitor, maintain, adjust, and repair electrical distribution systems across MUSC facilities to ensure reliable emergency and standard power. The role covers Generators, ATS, MCC, Drives, Motors, Distribution Center and Panels.

Essential personnel in a disaster, with a 40-hour work week, requiring physical endurance and ability to work in varied environments across campus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3 years general or industrial electrical maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Make repairs or installations for electrical motors, lighting fixtures, circuits, disconnects, starters, panels, generators, transformers and related equipment using testing tools.
• Support urgent emergencies or call-backs to install/repair electrical apparatus.
• Complete Level 1 Thermography certification within 1 year of hire; maintain Level 1 thereafter and generate infrared reports.
