Job summary

A unique medical operations company is seeking an experienced Emergency Physician to provide full-spectrum care in austere environments. Responsibilities include supporting Mobile Surgical Resuscitation Team activities and performing examinations and treatments. Candidates must have a valid medical license, minimum 8 years of experience, and various certifications. This fast-paced role requires flexibility with at least one rotation OCONUS annually. Qualifications

• Minimum five years U.S. Military or Government Sponsored experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-spectrum emergency medicine in limited resource environments.
• Assist in perioperative care with general surgeons.
• Conduct Critical Care Air Transport missions for ICU patients.
• Supervise a small medical team and work with a surgeon and anesthesia provider for perioperative care.
• Plan and conduct CCAT missions for ICU-level patients.
• Document care and complete medical records per policy.

Must be available for at least one (1) ~60 day rotation OCONUS annually, plus additional training/screening events. This position will be available to support Mobile Surgical Resuscitation Team activities to include:

Primary Responsibilities

Must be available for at least one (1) ~rotation OCONUS annually, plus additional training/screening events. This position will be available to support Mobile Surgical Resuscitation Team activities to include, but not limited to:

• Provide full-spectrum emergency medicine in austere and limited resource environments
• Perform examinations, making diagnoses and treating or prescribing a course of treatment for patients with routine and emergency conditions
• Provide consultation and advice to patients and customers as the emergency medicine SME
• Work with members of a small team
• Assist a general surgeon and anesthesia provider in the provision of perioperative care
• Conduct and supervise direct patient care, including damage control resuscitation in an austere environment with limited resources
• Plan and conduct Critical Care Air Transport (CCAT) missions for ICU level patients
• Based on qualifications and experience, may function in a leadership position
• Supervise attached medical personnel (Physician Assistants, Nurses, Medics, etc.) as required
• Document care provided and complete medical records in accordance with VIGILINT policy
• Perform special staff functions as required

• Active SECRET or higher security clearance
• Current and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico
• Current Board Certification through the American Board of Emergency Medicine or American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine
• Current/active civilian practice to maintain clinical currency during non-deployed periods
• Minimum eight (8) years’ experience as an Emergency Physician
• Minimum five (5) years U.S. Military or Government Sponsored experience
• U.S. Military or Government Sponsored deployment within the last three (3) years in an austere environment and combat-like conditions
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited U.S. school of medicine or osteopathy
• Experience as staff or attending physician in a high volume/high acuity or critical access environment
• Deployment experience in austere and combat-like conditions in Role 1, 2, or 3 facilities
• United States citizen
• Current ACLS, PALS, & BLS training through American Heart Association or Red Cross
• Current and unrestricted DEA license
• Current United States Passport that will not expire within 1-year of employment
• Successful candidates may be invited for an in-person assessment process

Strongly Desired Qualifications

• Experience working in the Military Special Operations Community
• Previous Forward Resuscitation Surgical Team/Forward Surgical Team (FRST/FST) or equivalent deployment experience
• TS/SCI security clearance
