Job summary

LewisGale Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support the nursing team by assisting with vital signs, mobility, and daily personal care. You will help ensure a safe, welcoming environment and contribute to the care plans under RN supervision.

Qualifications include nonviolent crisis intervention and CPR within 30 days of start, plus at least 1 year of relevant experience. Benefits and a strong team culture accompany this role.

Qualifications

• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• 1 year of experience in a patient care setting or similar role.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery.
• Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
• Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Patient Care Technician (PCT), you will be a vital part of our collaborative nursing team, supporting Registered Nurses in providing hands‑on care and helping create a safe, welcoming environment for patients. You'll assist with daily needs such as vital signs, mobility, and personal care, while helping RN monitor conditions and carry out care plans. Your attention, empathy, and teamwork help restore comfort and dignity for every patient you serve and make our mission to improve lives a reality each day.

Your responsibilities will include:
