Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island in Mineola is seeking a part-time Patient Care Technician for Emergency Medicine. The role supports nurses, assists in data collection and patient care tasks, and helps maintain a safe environment for patients and families.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Graduate of a PCT program with at least 6 months hospital experience, or CNA with EKG & Phlebotomy training and PCT certification eligible with 6 months hospital experience.
• BLS/Heartsaver CPR/AED certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the professional nurse in patient care tasks and provide safe, compassionate care.
• Support unit in maintaining supplies, equipment and environment.
• Demonstrate NYU Langone Health Core Values in performance of duties.
• Participate in data collection for Quality and Performance Improvement.
• Assist with admission, transfer and discharge procedures as directed.
